It's amazing how this dog has changed from being so anxious to now being happy & relaxed. Yes he still gets uncomfortable sometimes when he encounters new things but the next time he has a similar experience he's a rockstar. I've found a potential home that seems like a really good match. I'm going to meet with them sometime soon. It's going to depend on how he gets along with their current dog. She's a labradoodle around his same age. Cross your fingers for him, they seem like a good fit.

Update on Chance: he is going to be available sometime mid-July after his neuter & some more training from me. He is up to date on vaccines & on heartworm & flea prevention. Health wise he is great & I'm not aware of any medical issues at this time He has the potential to be a wonderful pet for someone & I'll be thoroughly vetting people before I place him.

Currently, he is learning how to exist in a household with actual interaction. We have pretty decent leash manners, working on crate training & grooming training. He will have a decent foundation

I feel like he would do well in a house with another med/large dog with a similar energy level. He's a bit rough in play so the other dog would need to be relatively confident. Honestly though his ideal scenario would be as an only dog so that he could have ALL the attention from his person/people.

He has some prey drive so even though he hasn't been around cats or small dogs I'm going to say those are a no.

He hasn't been around children with me but apparently was in his former home. I feel like older children 7+ would be fine but due to his size/goofiness no littles.

He's a 50 # poodle, whoever takes him will need to have a concept of grooming cost & frequency & be able to commit to those. Plan on budgeting $150+ every 4-6 weeks. You might find a groomer for less but I feel this is a reasonable estimate. Also he should never ever be back in the condition he was when I agreed to rescue him.

He is not an apartment dog & will need a fenced yard.

He craves attention & will need someone who can spend time with him.

If you know of anyone who sounds like a good fit please have them reach out. I will provide his vet records & a rehoming fee will apply
