Meet Rerun, a gentle and loyal 10-month-old Boxer mix from our friends at Adoptable Friends NFP. After waiting over 200 days for a fresh start, this smart, goofy boy is ready for a family to shower him with belly rubs and love. He's great with other dogs and is always up for an adventure or a snuggle sesh. He's healthy, neutered, and just waiting for his person to come along. https://bit.ly/3V3n3fe

Next up is the stunning Ava, a 4-year-old American Bulldog mix from Freedom Fences! This sweet girl has been patiently waiting for her chance to shine. Ava is the perfect mix of playful energy and loving snuggles. She's happiest when she's with her people and would thrive as the only pet or with the right doggy pal. Keep fighting Trixie! You've got this!

Trixie Update:

We spoke to her clinician a little earlier and it would seem Trix decided she was done with her catheter and just went ahead and removed it herself! Thankfully, her glucose levels are very good and all of her high values have continued to trend down, so we shouldn’t need it at this point, anyway.

She has a prolapse that has continued to move in and out over the last couple days, so they put in a couple of purse string sutures to keep it from recurring.

She’s reportedly eating and drinking very well and today they gave her a lumbar epidural for localized pain relief, a fresh fentanyl patch and added a little ketamine to make sure her pain is being well-managed.

Trixie’s story is one of resilience and a pig’s strong will to live. Six days ago she was found on the side of the I-65 south. Presumably, she escaped a slaughter truck or trailer and then was struck by a vehicle. Because of your support we have been able to give her the veterinary care she needs and a chance at recovery and the full life she deserves.

Please pray for Trixie, specifically that she will have the ability to urinate on her own once the swelling in her pelvic area goes down. This is a pivotal step in her recovery.
