Yay! The documentary is completed! Great job by Jess, Shelley, Shay, Ben, Wolf Creek and all the others who helped with the completion of this project. The documentary is submitted to the film festivals so we'll see soon if we're accepted. Fingers crossed!

The rough draft from the editor came in. She's doing a great job! It's looking very professional! And I am pleased. Can't wait to see the final product!

TRAINING TIP ON CORRECTIONS: It's important to correct unwanted behavior from your canine pal but always remember to tell your pup what he/she can do instead! Teaching what is allowed helps to create the positive outlet necessary for your pup. Not having acceptable outlets can cause frustration which can lead to aggression issues.

BEHAVIOR TIP ON EMOTIONS: Don’t let the fur fool you! Our canines friends are every bit as emotional as we humans are and have their own thoughts, needs and desires. In order to have a good relationship and bond with our canines, we have to meet their emotional needs as well as their physical and mental needs.

"This is mine!"
This alpha female is not only showing her dominance over the alpha male but she's claiming him to the watching humans. Clamining is a good way to deal with numerous behavior problems with your pet like resource and territorial guarding.

HEALTH TIP ON MUZZLES: Basket or cage muzzles are actually a healthier and safer alternative to nylon muzzles. A basket muzzle will allow your dog to drink and pant properly both necessary in keeping body temperature regulated. So don’t allow the look of a basket muzzle to intimidate you, a happy well behaved dog will make a basket muzzle look sporting instead of scary!

"Hugging is not for wolves what it is for humans"
This alpha female is showing dominance towards the alpha male by giving him a hug. The alpha male is reluctantly tolerating this as seen by the raised tail and hair as well as the less than thrilled facial expression. It's important to realize that our dogs learn to tolerate our hugs but will generally never learn to enjoy them.
