Mark Smith Training Center 25+ years of successfully working with horses and their owners. We specialize in training All Around Paint and Pinto horses.

Mark is a numerous World and Reserve World Champion in APHA and PtHA in multiple events inlcuding Trail, Jumping, Western Riding , Western Pleasure and Halter. He has coached many World and Reserve World Champions, Number One Youth and Amateur’s, Honor Roll winners, Top 20 APHA Youth and Amateur and High Point's at the World Show. He is currently an instructor at the University of Findlay in their

Western Equestrian program. He trains out the the University of Findlay Equestrian complex, a gorgeous facility with 2 large heated arenas, 2 huge outdoor arenas, 12x12 stalls, all under one roof, round pen turn-out and hot walker. Also, we run a small breeding program focused on quality all around horses with good minds and good legs. Many of our foals have gone on to be champion shows horses winning many World Championships and National awards.

Second year in a row that one of our home bred 2yos won the UF freshman showmanship finals!! Hazardous Material aka Matt laid down a killer pattern like a horse twice his age thanks to all the hard work his phenomenal student has put it!

Matt is sold and will be off to his new family in Michigan soon and we can’t wait to cheer him on to all the winning that is surely in his future!

How many 2yos handle this well and can maneuver trail poles this smoothly at less than 120 days under saddle 😍😍 She makes it easy and fun!!

Our homebred filly One Sweet Caroline is lot 17 in the 2026 Findlay Horse Sale! She is by One Special Asset and out of a daughter of ZMGB. A bit under 120 days under saddle. She is as sweet as pie, fancy legged, willing and easy to train, well started on the full all around, unbothered by traffic and horse show type environments, quiet and never offers to do anything bad.

Yearling c**t meets 2 year old toddler!

2yo season is so much fun!

One Sweet Caroline aka Caroline is our homebred 2024 bay tobiano mare by One Special Asset and out of an own daughter of Zippos Mr Goodbar. She is as sweet as her name suggests and her legs are wicked cool!! She’s coming along nicely and is going to be a lot of fun in the show pen!
