I haven’t posted in a while, we are busy in the shop!! Remember, if you try to call and I don’t answer shoot me a text. There is good chance I will be in a deer stand or duck blind! 🦌 🦆 🪲

Deer heads are all skinned so I jumped back to the elk that got brought in a while back. This elk was shot, sat overnight and recovered the next morning. Some critters had started chewing on the ends of the antlers so this customer asked if I was able to do anything with it. After some research, I purchased an elk velvet kit by Scenes-N-Nature and tried my hand at it. I’m pleased with the results.

A couple old bruisers have hit the dirt early. The amount of mass these suckers carry is incredible. The beetles will feast tonight. 🦌 🪲

We had a spike elk brought in while still in velvet. Customer asked me if the skull could still be beetle cleaned. Absolutely, there are just a few precautions I have to take because the beetles will chew right through the velvet! Can’t wait to see how this one turns out!!

With season quickly approaching I wanted to get my 2026 price sheet posted.

*I will not give turnaround times. This is because the degreasing process varies skull to skull. I will not put out a half greased skull that is going to turn yellow over time.*

Good luck to everybody this season.

🇺🇸 The American Wigeon 🇺🇸

Jessica has been playing with a lot of feathers since she completed her last turkey and I’m happy to say that she has completed her first duck.

She will be offering feather art services for the 2026 waterfowl season.

Her pricing will be $225. (Frame included)

You MUST bring two birds of the same species, she will do her best to only use one bird but if feathers are shot up she will use the better feathers.
