WHY ARE WE OFFERING OVER THE COUNTER FLEA PRODUCTS?

We are offering these products as an option. Dr. Monroe is an advocate for the prescription flea products because she feels they are superior products BUT we are finding is that there is a large number of pets that are not eligible for prescription flea products. Therefore, we are now offering products that we believe are safe and still have efficacy when used properly (in Dr. Monroe's opinion the biggest breakdown in reduced flea product efficacy is poor compliance). In addition, these products come directly from our distributor and the products come to the distributor directly from the manufacturer. This removes the possibly of inferior or counterfeit product. Lastly, we are offering these products at affordable prices. All together we are making an attempt to what we believe is a better option to provide non prescription/OTC flea or flea and tick control.

Our prescription products Selarid/Revolution and Credelio are available to our clients for one year after their pet's appointment via our online pharmacy ~ spayneuternorthwest.securevetsource.com

Very often I am asked "Why does it cost more to spay a pregnant cat?" "It is still a spay".... Well.... below is a photo of an incision from a pregnant feral cat spay ~ 7cm!!!!! For perspective... as a comparison the green tattoo line is the size of my routine spay incision ~1cm. More time. More suture. More anesthesia. All equals => More money.

We don't deny them care..... This beautiful feral cat came through our FERAL25 Program and was found to have mastitis to progressed to a ruptured abscessed mammary gland leaving a large and deep infected wound. In addition to the standard feral services, Dr. Monroe repaired the abscess and administered SQ fluids and a long acting antibiotic injection.

The Spay Neuter Northwest FERAL25 Program provides an amazing service for Whatcom County feral cats and their caretakers. Can you help us continue to help them?
