Not every dog arrives wagging their tail, and that’s okay. When Pickles came to us, he just needed time, space, and people who understood him. Watching him come out of his shell has been the best part of our week. 💛

Our team took things slow. He started to trust, and before long, that fear turned into tail wags, playtime, and big Great Dane cuddles.

Seeing Pickles thrive reminds us why we do what we do. Every dog deserves the chance to feel safe, understood, and loved.

Taco showed up for Saturday daycare… which doesn’t exist. 🤷‍♀️🐾

So we gave him a new title for the day: Assistant Manager.
First: helped with paperwork at the desk 📝🐕

Then: quality time with Skippy, our in-house supervisor. 🐶💼

Pretty sure Taco’s ready to run the place now! 🫡

Who We Are

Canine Acres is a pet boarding and grooming facility located on a rolling 40-acre hobby farm just outside of Fergus Falls, MN. Having undergone a complete renovation in 2012, our state-of-the art facility is often referred to the “Taj Mahal for Pets” by our customers. In addition to offering a clean, comfortable, safe environment for your pet, our facility has in-floor heating, central air conditioning, and a convenient check-in/check-out lobby.

Upon arriving at Canine Acres, you will appreciate the warm, welcoming atmosphere. We strive to be attentive not only to our visiting pets but also to their owners’ unique and sometimes unpredictable life situations. Though we run a professional pet care business, we regard our pet owners as familiar friends whose names we will remember after the very first visit. Before long, you and your pet will come to know and trust our capable, friendly staff.
