AWW Guest House: Shelter Dog's Day Out - A Project from Our Hearts

Imagine a world where every shelter dog gets a day filled with joy and a much-needed break. That's a dream my three young daughters and I share, and it's the passion behind our project, AWW Guest House: Shelter Dog's Day Out.

My girls, with their boundless love for animals, are the driving force behind this initiative. They constantly talk about how sad it must be for dogs to live in a shelter, and their biggest wish is to bring some happiness and comfort to these deserving pups. Together, we brainstormed ways to make a real difference, and that's how AWW Guest House was born.

Here's how your monthly contribution will help us make their dream a reality for shelter dogs:

-Monthly Outings: With your support, we'll take several shelter dogs out each month for a day of fun and relaxation. My daughters are already planning these special trips! It could be a peaceful walk in the park, an exciting visit to a pet store where they can pick out a new toy, or even a cozy movie afternoon at our home, complete with plenty of cuddles and treats. These outings are more than just fun; they're a vital break from the stressful shelter environment.

-Essential Supplies: Your generosity will also directly fund the purchase of crucial supplies that improve the daily lives of shelter dogs. We'll be able to provide:

🐾High-quality dog food and treats to keep them healthy and happy.
🐾Comfortable bedding and engaging toys to provide comfort and mental stimulation.
🐾Cleaning supplies to ensure a healthy and hygienic environment for all the animals.

By becoming a recurring donor, you'll provide consistent and reliable support throughout the year, allowing us to plan these special days and purchase necessary supplies without interruption. Your monthly gifts, no matter the size, will have a lasting impact on the lives of countless shelter animals, bringing them comfort and joy.

🚨‼️URGENT‼️🚨

ISO IS FULL. 8 more dogs need to move into ISO today‼️if 8 spots don’t open, dogs will lose their life. We NEED fosters TODAY!

1-2 weeks. That is it. Temporary fosters needed to help these dogs kick a treatable doggy cold. It should not be a death sentence to get a cold, but there are no open kennels in the shelter so these dogs are the first listed to be euthanized without our help.

Dogs are available at Cumberland County animal services Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Following these steps will help make sure our foster coordinator received your form. Things are very overwhelming at the shelter right now, so follow ups are really crucial‼️

Kelsey had been at the shelter since Oct 22, 2024. Another dog brought me to Hoke County Animal Shelter, but it was Kelsey that made me want to volunteer again. She was the very first dog I walked there after signing my volunteer paperwork. I knew she need patience and kindness because she was very timid. I just sat with her and listened to the sounds of the trails out back. Followed her lead. I came in often to check on her and take her out. Always hoping every time I went in, she'd be gone to a forever loving home. It just was not happening. I could see she was really losing hope every time I came in to check on her. I would have to carry her back into the shelter after our time together. She was ready to leave. I reached out to my social media following in hopes to land her with a forever family. That is when God stepped in. He found her the perfect family. The only thing. Kelsey is in NC and the adopters are in WI. Adoption papers are signed! We just need transport costs covered. I have not established my AWW Guest House rescue fully yet, so I have no rescue funds to make this transport out of my own pocket. I need your support! I would love to be the one that gets to hand off Kelsey to her forever family. We have set up meeting half way. This Christmas Eve, please join me in A Shelter Dog’s Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with heavy hearts, lifting up the countless shelter dogs who face uncertain futures. We pray for those who tremble in fear, those who long for a loving home.

Lord, we ask that You would comfort these innocent creatures, easing their anxieties and filling them with Your peace. May they know Your love, even in the darkest of times.

We pray for the dedicated shelter workers who tirelessly care for these animals. May You grant them strength, compassion, and wisdom as they navigate the challenges of their work.

We ask that You would open the hearts of people to the plight of these dogs, inspiring them to adopt, foster, or volunteer. May You bless those who choose to offer a loving home to a shelter dog.

In Your holy name, we pray.
