UPDATE. K9 Jax Has been located. Thanks to everyone that has assisted and shared our post!!

K9 Jax escaped from his handlers home earlier today. Search efforts have been ongoing for several hours, but as of this message, he has not yet been located.

While police K9s are trained for specific tasks, they share many characteristics with family pets—most notably their playful nature. K9 Jax is especially fond of chasing smaller animals like squirrels, and we believe this may have contributed to his departure from his handlers residence.

Please be assured there is no danger to the public. K9 Jax is not trained in aggression or bite work; his certifications are strictly in narcotics detection and tracking.

K9 Jax is not just a working partner, but a beloved member of our family. We hope for his safe return. Reports have been filed with Cumberland County Sheriffs Office and Cumberland County Animal Control. Thanks for sharing.

I took Bolt and Spot to the Palmetto To Pines Cluster Dog Show (Moore Co. Kennel Club) at the Southeastern Agricultural Center in Lumberton NC on April 24. I only took the two of them since a venue with over 600 dogs, 8 show rings and a dirt floor would be challenging. My reason for going was two-fold. The show was just 35 minutes from my farm and I wanted to achive a personal goal. We needed to earn just one more HIGH IN TRIAL to reach our goal of 200 AKC RALLY HIGH IN TRIAL AWARDS.
On April 24, 2025 Spot earned our 200th High In Trial award plus 3 more to spare. We entered 7 classes that day and took home 7 first place awards. I will tell you both my dogs found it challenging but some how we powered through.
Huge Thank you to judge Jill Lowry and her wonderful courses. Also Thank you to Moore County Kennel Club for their hospitality and wonderful crystal prizes.

This is a reminder that we will not have our Rally Fundamental class tomorrow (Saturday 3/15/25). We will begin a new session starting next Saturday, March 22nd.

RiverRun Dog Training will be offering a Free Rally Seminar for Novice A competitors only. To qualify you must have entered the Rally ring at least one time with your Novice A dog, and not earned a Intermediate or Advanced Rally Title. This mini seminar will be sometime in April or May 2025.
