I’ve bred companion Keeshonden for over 20 years, focusing on health, temperament, and beauty. Hello,
I am Jodi Erbe, owner of Erbekees. I have been breeding keeshonden since October 2007. My breeding program consist of only companion keeshond and I do not participate in conformation or agility. My main goals in breeding is to achieve good health, wonderful temperament and exceptional beauty in my

keeshonden. I do health test all my adults prior to breeding and my testing exceeds OFFA standards for the keeshond. I am an AKC Bred by H.E.A.R.T breeder which means I agree to ensure all my breeding dogs are fully health tested in compliance with the OFA. https://www.ofa.org/

The distinction of Bred by H.E.A.R.T stands for:

• HEALTH: You certify that your breeding stock is health tested in accordance with the recommendations of their breed’s AKC Breed Parent Club. Visit our Health Testing Requirements page to see the requirements for your breed(s).

• EDUCATION: Promising that you will pursue AKC-provided or AKC-approved continuing breeder education so that you stay educated on the best breeding practices, including advances in canine health.

• ACCOUNTABILITY: Agreeing to comply with the AKC Care and Conditions Policy, including inspections by the AKC, and promising to share health testing and continuing education documentation with AKC.

• RESPONSIBILITY: Accepting responsibility for the health and well-being of the puppies you produce and for complying with all laws regarding the ownership and maintenance of dogs.

• TRADITION: Upholding the AKC’s tradition of breeding purebred dogs that are happy and healthy. I currently oversee a private client group on facebook, "Keeshonden by ERBEKEES" where I am joined with over 350 clients as of Jan 2020. This group of clients is a huge percentage of all my keeshond puppies that I have ever bred and they can attest to my breeding program being above and beyond what they have experienced with other breeders.
