I am feeling much better now I'm off the Prednisone, and I love setting up... oops, I mean playing with my sister, Lily, (who will by the way be 2 tomorrow). Mummy and I have been waiting for this pandemic stuff to get out of the way, (I don't even know what that is, but Mummy said it was something to do with why I was depressed, and so, sick last year), so that we could safely return to my job. But it doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon.
Mummy doesn't want me ever to go through that again, (I agree!!!!), so I have officially retired from therapy work. I'm going to enjoy my retirement and live my best life, playing with Lily and getting lots of cuddles from Mummy and Daddy. Therefore, this will be my last post here.
I want to thank all my followers for continued love and support and Love on a Leash NWA for giving me the chance to spread the love while I could ❤️❤️
To close, here is a photo of Lily and me playing. Mummy says it's a lot easier to snap one these days, what with me feeling so much better 😉

It's been a while, and I wanted to let you know how I am doing today. Lily and I both had yearly appointments with our vet this afternoon, and we are both doing great, according to him :D
We got our yearly jabs and checked over thoroughly. I also got more Prednisone, since I am doing fantastically on two a week, and the vet wants to continue with my progress :)
I go back in six months for more blood work to double-check I am still on track :D

I thought I should update you all on my continued progress.
I've been on two Prednisone per week for ages now, and it does seem to be working since I am fully back to myself now. On my last vet visit, he recommended that Mummy keep me on the two a week schedule, since it is working, and Mummy agreed that this sounded best. I now don't have to go back until March, when Lily and I are also both due for our boosters and yearly check-ups at the same time.
Mummy is still de-sensitizing Lily, but the car has been under the weather, so she hasn't been able to do that for a little while. Once the car is back in business, (she goes to the car doctor today), Mummy can then resume Lily's training, and we should be good to go for the double leash attachment Mummy made for us by March and our dual vet visit :)

Had a lovely visit with my vet today. Just a follow-up to see how my blood work is doing these days. My vet said I am doing great!! Sooo... I am now on two Prednisone tablets per week, instead of the every-other-day I was on previously :D :D :D Mummy said she knew I was doing much better, since I often initiate play again with Lily, (and I let her know in NO uncertain terms when I DON'T want to play ;) ), am not so panty, and my nose has returned to cool and damp to show my healthiness.
My next visit is in another six weeks, when we are hoping to cut down on the tablets even more, if all goes well

This is the first time I've felt like playing this long with my sister since I got sick. The first ever time was a few days ago, but Mummy didn't manage to catch it on camera, so brief was it! This time, however, here Lily and I are in all our playful glory

I was at the vet today to see how my blood work is doing on the one-a-day Prednisone regimen. The news was excellent! I am maintaining! So much so, that my vet reckons I can now sustain on one every other day. I hope he's right, because those things make me quite panty 😜 I've even felt like playing with little sister lately... Granted, not for too long at a time, but I let her know when I've had enough, and she does listen... most of the time... 😉 Mummy is very happy I'm feeling better ❤

As promised, an UPDATE:
I got to see my vet today, which I didn't mind, because I adore my vet AND there were people there when I arrived to visit with :D He did blood work on me and I am, apparently, anemic. Now, he said it is most likely due to an auto-immune response to something, SOOO he gave me a B12 antibiotic shot and a steroid one too, to help me feel a bit better. He also gave Mummy some more in pill form for me to take over the next two weeks, when I have a follow-up appointment.
Also, Mummy made me special breakfasts/dinners today for the next week, (or until I fancy my usual food again), and will put them in the freezer when they are cool. Daddy helped too by cooking the meat part for me, to be added when I eat each portion.
I am already starting to feel a bit better, thanks to those shots and being able to say hello to some folks there, who seemed more than happy to say hello back to me! :D
Mummy said I was a very good girl the whole time. Well, of course I was! I am Layla and Mummy trained me well :D ;)

I've not been feeling the best for a couple of days. I am starting to feel better, I think, but Mummy says we are off to the vet tomorrow to get me checked out anyway, assuming they can fit me in. Mummy was chatting with someone from there over the weekend on Facebook messenger. Keeping them up to date on my progress. I'll keep you updated as to what transpires.
Meanwhile, here are a couple of photos of me and my little sister, not so little anymore at 7 months old today!

So Mummy and I arrived at the Veterans Home to visit, but we never even got to get out of the car...
All visits have been terminated until further notice :(
Mummy and my friend Winston's Mummy spoke to a man who was leaving the building, who told us that someone had tested positive for CoVid-19 at the door on Saturday. Everyone must get their temperature checked, sanitize, and get a CoVid-19 test upon entering the building.
He also told us that everyone else immediately got a test and that he had run them to Little Rock yesterday, and now awaiting results.
No one let us doggies know, but it was a pretty drive for us, so no biggie for that. I am quite disappointed about not getting to see my beloved veterans, though :( Maybe next fortnight?

Yay! I got to go back to the Veterans Home last week! So HAPPY, my tail has still not finished wagging yet :D
In other news: [And Mummy is a bit late posting this, she has been very busy redecorating].
But here, finally, is sweet little sister Lily at six months, (and 38lbs), and in comparison with me [to give an idea, I hover at around 41/42lbs]
