ASF. African Soft Furred Rat. Mastomys natalensis. Known in some circles as Tiny Furry As***le Razor-blade Death Machines, also know as Ball Python CRACK. I love breeding these things- 1/10 the smell of mice, and 1/3rd the smell of normal rats.

The long nights, the early mornings, the grind! Rodent breeding isn’t for everyone, It’s not as easy as putting two mice together and hoping. It’s the planning, the preparation, the rack systems, the watering systems, the feed, the bedding and everything that goes into it.

If it was easy EVERYONE would do it. But the work pays off. At the end of the day I know EXACTLY what is going into my rodents, and everything going into my snakes as well. The peace of mind, and the ability to give my snakes whatever they need, whenever they need it is WORTH THE GRIND.
