Things I need volunteer help with:

1. We’ve cut some trees down, I need a few chainsaws to cut them in 10.5’ logs to move them to the saw mill. I have a tractor. Just need someone proficient with a chainsaw

2. Someone to help with cutting and putting up paneling. I have the tools. Just need an extra hand!

3. Someone to cut and pick up/drop off PWC poles to the market. We need a couple more dozen for fence posts.

4. Someone to cut a few more big trees.

We are almost done with fencing and the logs and PWC poles are most urgent!!!

One-day Agriculture Recovery Centers are planned to help North Carolina farmers recover from Helene damage. The first locations are set for Buncombe, Henderson, McDowell and Watauga counties. Additional events are planned for Ashe, Avery, Burke, Mitchell and Yancey counties. All are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The walk-through events will provide information on addressing agricultural or rural needs not covered by standard programs offered by FEMA or the state, and offer opportunities for farmers, ranchers, nursery owners, vineyards, honeybee growers and fish producers to meet with agricultural officials to learn about assistance available.

The centers have specifically trained representatives of FEMA; the U.S. Department of Agriculture; North Carolina Department of Commerce; North Carolina Department of Agriculture; U.S. Small Business Administration; local Farm Service Agency officials; and other government agencies to assist agricultural workers with their recovery needs. Please bring evidence of ownership, or photos of damaged or lost tools and equipment, along with estimated replacement costs to expedite your application.

Good morning,
Just coming on to update you all on products. We are a small farm and what we produce we collect daily: eggs and milk specifically. That being said, PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH US! We are not Walmart or Food Lion.

Our chickens are currently freeloading! 🤣 Between this weather and a very late molting, all 250 laying hens are not laying at all. So eggs on the website are not available. I have updated inventory and still updating weekly.

Our bulk meat orders are processed as they come in to ensure you get the freshest possible. They do, however, come vaccumed sealed and frozen to make sure the quality of freshness lasts you for months.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience and support!

THIS!!! 😭😭😭😭 This is one load of a few that we GRACIOUSLY got donated to us from a dear friend and mentor. The panic I feel waking up at 2am, wondering how I’m going to afford hay before we move the livestock…..the fear is gone
