Due to a shortage in staff, the remote dumpster will not be at the Newtonville (AL171 & CR12 )location this Saturday.
The permanent dumpster site on AL 96 (County Shop)will be open.

Beginning Monday April 6, Fayette County Road Dept will be working on a bridge replacement on County Road 16. Daytime and overnight closure will be needed for this work. Message boards and signage will be in place. Please use caution when traveling in this area.

Road closure will be in effect April 6-8 , 2026

Public Notice:

Beginning Monday March 23, 2026
The Fayette County Road Department will be replacing several pipe. Daytime road closures are necessary to accomplish this task.
On Monday, County Road 66 from AL 13 to Frost Rd will be closed to thru traffic from approximately 7:30am-2:30pm
Tuesday and Wednesday County Road 49 between AL 171 and County Road 87 intersection will be closed from 7:30am to 2:30pm both days.

Public Notice: Effective Immediately

The Fayette County Road and Bridge Department has closed the bridge on Dodson Crossing Road over Luxapallila Creek.
Alternate routes would be to use County Road 42 to the South or Bobo Road to the North.
