Banjo went to be with Quigley Thursday, February 6. He was a few months shy of 12 years old.
Banjo was murdered by a hit and run vehicle. He is the 3rd large dog I’ve lost this way. Vas was murdered summer 2023 and Earl December 2024.
Banjo was not a car chaser and was traffic smart, he has lived here since
He was 5 months old. I don’t understand how anyone can hit an animal, especially a LARGE dog, and think nothing of it.
Anyway, Banjo is greatly missed. He has protected this ranch for over a decade.
He would lead us to sick or dead calves. New momma cows he would stay with a day or 2 and protected guests on the trail. He watched and protected my chickens and guineas his whole life. He had to raise Quigley, Val, Earl, and Esther, not to mention numerous cats.
Esther has large paws to fill. I hope Banjo’s wisdom and knowledge sunk in to her young head now that the head of security has went to heaven. It’s a shame someone has been murdering dogs on this road… Banjo is the 5th victim. 4 of the 5 have been killed in the last 3-1/2 months…
I bet he and Quigley had a growl off first thing. Yes I do believe animal go to heaven. 💜✝️
