Genetics. They are tricky! These are 20 Ameraucana x Black copper Marans x olive eggers x Cream legbars. It looks like I got a white Ameraucana. These mixed pens are like a box of chocolates “You never know…”

I breed these to have a pretty egg basket and hatching eggs are available or I can hatch chicks for you. The color variations of pullets have been quite popular at Gilmanor Swap, May 4th, this year.

The “Last Hurrah”…not too shabby, if we do say so ourselves ❤️. Always appreciate the United Orpington Club’s beautiful award plaques…thank you!! Bittersweet that this is our last show, but feel so fortunate that we were able to participate in the 150th APA Nationals in Ohio before our breeding and business moves on to the next set of loving hands. Where one door closes, another one opens. The time has come for us to sell The One Egg LLC. Shem and I have worked tirelessly over the last 4 years to learn to show and breed our birds as best we can to SOP, have found great success, and have met so many incredible mentors, friends, and customers.

However, Shem has also worked so hard at school and now has some most incredible opportunities as he works his way through high school.

So, our greatest desire is for this labor of love, The One Egg LLC, to continue to thrive and grow in the hands of another. He has built an incredible and profitable business just waiting to keep running and growing with another.

This is our first hatch of the year from Big Red. Some great looking girls and boys coming along. He throws a much deeper copper than our Lil Dawg, but some great promise in type, me thinks. Excited to see how they continue to fill out and grow 😊❤️

CALL DUCKS - Grey, white, and black bibbed ❤️. We were told when we began this journey with calls that they would be hard to hatch, but so far they hatch like pros!

What a way to start the 2023 show year! We very purposefully only brought our Orps to this show for this very specific reason and National Orp meet. Some of the best Orpington breeders were there and we wanted to bring our birds to get their feedback, mentorship, help, and see how we’ve been doing with our breeding. We are so grateful to the United Orpington Club, Stephanie Coomer, Sarah Batz, and Angela Ulanch for all of your time and efforts!

Show prep is a THING! Orps only this time going to GA and the weather is WARM right now, so everybody gets a fan on their cage for the ride. Orps need to stay cool!

Some new kids coming and some seasoned show vets 😊. You can tell the veterans when they eat quail eggs while I blow dry them 😂😂!!
