Everyone who breeds rabbits for meat or show know that culling is involved. I don't have any problem culling young grow outs that don't meet our standards but the good Does you give chances to makes me hesitant. Made the decision to cull Noisy Boy tonight. She was on her 3rd strike. 1st breeding was to Secretly Without A Queen. She had them all on the wire... 2nd litter bred to Fanboy. He was unproven and she didn't take, gave her the benefit of the doubt. 3rd litter was due yesterday to Secretly Without A Queen. Very nice mild weather. She pulled some fur but all 6 were cold and none were alive. She was shown at convention as a fryer. Really wide and impressive when you get your hands on her. But now we have more room for another Doe to hopefully do a better job than she.

With Convention winding down we are so pleased with how everything did!
That being said we have 2 Blue Brood does still available.
"Sickels Cross Roads" is the dam to S&S Hoosier(pictured below).
"Bad Alibi"is the maternal sib to the 2024 BOV Youth Blue at Convention and she placed 1st in the Jr Blue Doe at Breed Nationals this Spring in Sedalia.

Long day in Indianapolis today at the 102nd ARBA Convention!
We took some New Zealands and Californians and we are very pleased!
Some highlights were:

So thankful for all the opinions and meeting old and new friends!
We also got all of the New Zealands going to new rabbitries, so thank you to all the buyers!

Had a great day last Saturday in Washington CH OH!
Brought a few cals and a few new zealands, we were fortunate to have BOB and BOSB New Zealand in both A & B shows with Nuclear Sprinkle and Sickels Big Bubba going back in fourth in placings.
The cals held their own, but didn't pull anything off, hopefully we'll have them in condition by convention!

Great day today in Van Wert Ohio for our first open show this fall!
In the Youth show, we had BOB Californian and New Zealand!
Went on to win Best 6 Class ,then BIS with a jr black buck!
As well as a few first in classes, bovs, and bosv's we are pleased!

We always highlight the show string, but we have to give credit to Sparrgroves "Proud Mary." She is the smallest out of all of the brood does, but she hasnt had a single still born, and all her offspring grow very well. This is her 3rd and biggest litter with 10! Thankfully, we had a litter of 5 black New Zealands, so 2 went to her!
So far, we've kept a doe from each of Proud Mary's litters!
