I had another owner ask me about Librela injections for their older dog with arthritis. Please do not give this to your dog. The FDA-Approved Drug Librela (Zoetis/Pfizer) which is a once-a-month injection linked to severe health issues and fatalities in dogs. There are many posts about dogs developing cancer within 2 weeks. Librela blocks nerve growth factor, a protein critical to the functioning of every system and organ, including the immune system. Many other severe side effects in addition to cancer have surfaced, raising alarms among veterinarians. People are having to euthanize their dogs, and the many stories I read are heartbreaking. When I look at the package insert and possible side effects, I have no idea why this drug was ever allowed to be FDA-approved.
