After a long weekend of hauling and competing, our horses have earned a recovery day. 🤍
Even when our horses look and feel great after a weekend of racing, we know a lot has been happening inside their bodies.
Multiple runs, hauling, standing tied for long periods, stress, and intense exercise can contribute to:
• Muscle fatigue
• Microtrauma to muscles and soft tissues
• Inflammation
• Increased metabolic waste products
• Muscle soreness and stiffness
• Depleted energy stores
Just because our horses don’t complain doesn’t mean their bodies aren’t working hard to recover.
PEMF therapy helps support recovery by stimulating circulation, supporting cellular function, promoting relaxation, and helping the body do what it was designed to do: recover and heal. ✨
It’s not a magic fix, and it’s not a substitute for good veterinary care, conditioning, or proper management. But it can be a valuable tool to help support the athletes that give us everything they’ve got every time we ask. 🐴🤍
Recovery is part of the training program. 🐴✨
If you spent the weekend racing and want to help your horse recover before the next one, send me a message!
