HOW TO PLAY K9 FRISBEE TOSS & FETCH
Spring 2024 Season begins April 20

K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch is an easy game to teach your dog. Any breed of any size can play, with Tiny Dogs under 40 cm in height earning bonus points. If your dog fetches a ball, chances are it can also catch a Frisbee so find a Club near you and give it a try.

LONGER CATCHES EARN MORE POINTS
On a 50-yard-long field divided into 10-yard scoring zones, a Team attempts as many throws and catches with one Frisbee as possible within that Season’s allotted time for a “round.” Longer catches score more points. If a dog leaps off the ground to make a catch a ½ point “Air Bonus” is awarded. It’s simple.
In the upcoming Spring 2024 Season format, each team (person & dog) on a Club plays two 60-second-long rounds of K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch each week for 5 weeks with ALL catches for each round scored.
In alternating “90:/5” format Seasons, the two rounds each week are 90-seconds long but only the best 5 catches per round count towards a Team’s score.
PLAY AT LEAST 4 OF 5 WEEKS
TO MAXIMIZE POINTS
Each dog/human Team has a “Mulligan” week in every five-week-long season meaning:
- Teams that play all 5 weeks will have their lowest weekly score dropped in their final cumulative score
- If a Team misses a week, the missed week becomes their Mulligan, the dropped week.
PLAY TOGETHER AS A CLUB
In League play, the main competition is Club vs. Club. Unlike individual competitions, Teams play together to pool all their Team’s scores/rankings in hopes to help their Club outrank other Clubs around the world.
At least 8 different people are required to compete together as a League Club. Groups with less than 8 people but no less than 4 can participate in a Season as un-ranked Squads.

No experience is necessary and entire families can play with the same dog to form separate Teams. And don’t worry, you and your dog can only help a Club so the more the merrier. A Team cannot hurt a Club so even if you’re brand new to disc dog, your local Club will be happy to help get you started.
