The other day at the TLVC was a tough one.

We are so incredibly grateful to our volunteers, and to Dr. Senk and Dr. Alward, for their quick thinking and compassionate care. During the clinic, it was noticed that an owned kitten named Moon wasn’t breathing properly. She was immediately placed on oxygen, where it was discovered she had a grade 5 heart murmur.

Moon had recently been found outside by her owners, who unfortunately did not have the financial means to cover emergency supportive care. Our sister nonprofit 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. stepped in to provide 24 hours of hospitalization at West Hills Animal Hospital for this sweet girl. There, she was diagnosed with severe heart disease and started on three medications she will need for the rest of her life.

Because of your donations, Moon was given a chance. We truly could not have done this without our donors, volunteers, and supporters.

We are beyond thankful to stand side by side with such an incredible team who go above and beyond for every kitty that comes through our doors.

Please keep Moon in your thoughts and prayers for a long, healthy life in her home. Because of the quick action at Tender Loving Veterinary Clinic, Moon now has a future she never would have had if she had remained on the streets.
