Under the watchful eye and expert training of Bethany, our beautiful Caramella is advancing to full participation in our lesson program. Bethany has been working several days a week with Caramella and we are thrilled with her progress! This smart and wonderful mare has come so far to reach her potential. This is our most eastern pasture, Pasture Cinco - and it has 6 of our special horses who just love treats and visitors. We are unsure of their ages, but all are older residents. First is Blackie, who is an Arabian gelding, and even though he is white, his name is really Blackie! Next is Blondie a gentle Arabian mare and the tallest of the herd. Cinnamon is a Quarter Horse mare and is great friends with Thomas! Mama Cocoa is a Quarter Horse mare and is currently struggling with an eye infection which we are treating. She is the alpha mare. Popcorn (Poppie) is a 13 year old Arabian mare. Thomas is a Quarter Horse gelding. These horses came as a group 2 years ago and are still together in pasture Cinco - friends stay together! We retain their names as that is part of their identity.

Pasture Quattro! We have 2 beautiful older mares in this pasture. First say hello to Clementine, a Quarter Horse who loves her senior grain and who is very friendly - loves to be petted. Her BFF Hera, another older Quarter Horse is always by her side. Hera and Clemmie are both very well behaved and our farrier loves them!

Meet our two wonderful geldings in Pasture Tres! Blue Bayou has been at the Sanctuary many years. He is a 12 year old Thoroughbred, prefers his food in a mash, and is somewhat accident prone! His BFF is Colby Dean who is a 26 year old Tennessee Walker and loves his friend Bayou. Like Bayou he prefers his food as a mash. He and Bayou are a bonded pair for sure!

This is Pasture Dos - the Boarder Buddies! Abu is a 6 year old Quarter Horse shown with his BFF Mateyah. Bosco is a very opinionated gelding. He is 13 years old and a Paint Cross. Romeo is a leader among horses and he is a 16 year old Arabian and very loved by Betsy! Tess is a beautiful mare and a favorite with her 3 gelding pasture mates. She is a 16 year old Paint.
