In December of 2011, I reopened in a new location and I am hoping to grow my business. I received my dog styling certification from Golden Paws Dog Grooming School in 2008. I had the opportunity to have hands on training with all different breeds of dogs. I learned how to handle the dog in a safe manner for both myself and the dog. Because of my training, I am certified to style and groom dogs. Th

e state of Texas has no licensing for dog grooming; so many groomers do not have this certification. I am proud of my abilities to style dogs and I am always looking for ways to grow. I have attended continuing education courses in dog grooming and have learnt something new every time. I like to build a good relationship with my dogs, as well as the owners. I treat each one as my own and try to lessen the stress of the grooming process for each dog. It is nice to see them happy with their tails wagging when they see me the next time. I'm afraid that Harvey has put my shop out of commission. I had minor damage that should be an easy fix. Unfortunately, I have no electricity and I'm not sure when Entergy will be able to come out and fix it. Also, my husband has been very busy at work. As soon as things are back up and running, I'll let everyone know.
My thoughts and prayers are with our entire community. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. I do believe this tragedy will make us all stronger!! ❤️

This letter is starting to go home with everyone this week. I'm so sorry about any inconveniences this may cause. This truly is a hard decision that I'm making but one that I feel is best for me and my family.

Yesterday was extremely hard for us as we had to say goodbye to this sweet boy. He was one of a kind and will be missed greatly at Fancy Coats. We loved him like our own. My heart goes out to his family and all his friends at The L**e Shop. RIP Thumper! 😪
