šŸ¤ A NEW CHAPTER šŸ¤

After a lot of thought, growth, and excitement for what’s ahead, I’m officially transitioning my business from DHF Energetic Touch Equine Massage to:

HDH Equine Performance & Rehabilitation 🐓

What started as a passion for helping horses has grown into something that means so much more to me. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible horses, amazing owners, and being trusted to be part of some pretty important journeys.

As my work continues to grow, I wanted a name that better reflects what I do and where I’m headed — performance, rehabilitation, recovery, and helping horses move and feel their best.

While the name is changing, the person behind it isn’t. ā¤ļø

You’ll still be getting the same comprehensive evaluations, individualized care, and dedication to your horse that you’ve always received from me.

You’ll just start seeing a new name on my business page, appointment reminders, invoices, and other business materials.

To everyone who has supported DHF Energetic Touch over the years — whether you’ve been with me from the beginning or found me along the way — thank you. You have played a part in allowing me to build this into something bigger than I originally imagined.

I’m incredibly excited for this next chapter.

Welcome to HDH Equine Performance & Rehabilitation. šŸ¤šŸ“

To my clients (you are all family to me),
We are sending our prayers and good thoughts to you during this terrifying time. There is a good chance these two fires are going to merge tonight.
I cannot provide evacuation support but I can do my best to be a listening ear to someone who needs it. Or advice during this time.
Keep your animals close and ready to go.
Pray for our beautiful state and everyone affected by these fires.šŸ’•

Client spotlight #2

Continuing our client spotlight…
Today is all about my great friend, Jeannette Hayhurst.
Jeannette has been with me as a client for over a year now and has 5 amazing athletes I work on. Those little athletes have completed trips through Death Valley with wagons and many driving trials. I have gotten the pleasure of helping her crew every month so they are in top shape to do these trips!
Jeannette has been a huge part of the foundation for my business providing me with a consistent schedule every month and helping bring in new clients! She has become a very good friend to us and has always given me 110% support during this adventure. I cannot thanks her enough for these things and being apart of this journey.
To many more adventures, we are so grateful for Jeannette’s support.šŸ’•

Client spotlight

As we near our 2 year anniversary as a business, I wanted to honor all of my clients who have been with me since the start of it all.
Over the next 14 days, I will be highlighting my clients and their horses. I’ll get to share some of their big accomplishments with you all as well!

Today I’m going to start with my longest client and friend for many years, Debi Johnson. Debi has been with me as a client since the first day! I have watched her progress with her horses and in different disciplines. Between her big horses and little horses, we have helped Debi succeed in and out of the show ring. She has battled hard times and huge wins with her horses. I have had the opportunity to expand my knowledge with her horses while also offering new knowledge to her to keep them in top shape.
We have had a few vet scares we worked through and new additions to her barn we helped get on the right track.
Today I want to say a big THANK YOU to Debi and her husband, Lynn, for always supporting me and this business. You guys are the foundation to this business. šŸ’•

I wanted to take a moment to explain my pricing structure and, more importantly, what my clients receive when they book with me.

New Client Appointments: $150
Follow-Up Appointments: $80–$110 (depending on travel requirements)

When you schedule an appointment with me, you are not paying for an hour of my time. You are paying for 13 years of knowledge, hands-on experience, and individualized care for both you and your animal.

My appointments are not limited by a strict time frame. I stay until your questions are answered, concerns are addressed, and your animal’s needs have been met. I believe owners should leave feeling educated, confident, and supported in caring for their animals.

For clients who maintain a regular monthly schedule, there are additional benefits. Consistent care often means lower travel fees and priority scheduling. Regular appointments help address small concerns before they become bigger issues, benefiting both your animal’s well-being and your wallet.

Thank you to all of my clients who trust me with the care of their animals. I appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to provide thorough, compassionate, and individualized service to every animal and owner I work with.šŸ’•

Rare Opportunity Open!

I currently have 1, possibly 2 openings available for horses to join my monthly schedule with DHF Energetic Touch Equine Massage.

Whether your horse is a seasoned performance athlete, a weekend trail partner, a lesson horse, a senior enjoying retirement, or simply a beloved companion, regular bodywork can help support their comfort, mobility, and overall well-being. Every horse can benefit from feeling their best!

I regularly travel to:
Dayton
Red Rock
Lemmon Valley
Palomino Valley
Minden
Reno
Fernley

These monthly openings are very limited and tend to fill quickly. If you’ve been considering getting your horse on a consistent wellness schedule, I’d love to chat and see if we’re a good fit.

Feel free to message me with any questions or to reserve one of these available spots before they’re gone!

Like many of you, I was deeply disturbed by the recent incident at the NBHA Professional’s Choice Las Vegas Super Show. As a horse owner, competitor, equine rehabilitation professional, and former leader within the horse community, I believe it is important that the voices of those affected are heard throughout the legal process.

Today, I submitted the attached community impact statement to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office. My goal is simple: to advocate for meaningful accountability, animal welfare, and measures that help prevent future acts of cruelty.

I encourage fellow horse owners, competitors, trainers, industry professionals, and supporters of animal welfare to respectfully share their concerns with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office as well. Community input matters, and thoughtful, professional communication can help demonstrate the far-reaching impact this incident has had on the equestrian community.

This isn’t about anger or retaliation. It’s about protecting animals, supporting responsible horsemanship, and ensuring that those who intentionally harm defenseless animals are held appropriately accountable under the law.

Thank you to everyone who continues to advocate for the welfare and safety of our horses.

Cuda.

This horse has taught me more about patience, trust, and resilience than most people ever will. For almost a year now, we’ve been slowly helping him learn that his body is safe again… and that he is safe again.

This journey hasn’t been a quick fix. It’s been monthly bodywork, osteopathic chiropractic care (by the wonderful Suzie), nutrition changes, ulcer treatment, nervous system support, long days, hard moments, tiny wins, and countless hours of just standing with him and letting him feel heard.

His past involved being mishandled and rushed through training before he was mentally and physically ready. Horses don’t just ā€œget overā€ those things. They hold onto traumatic memories just like humans do. They become their own biggest protector and their own biggest critic. Every brace in the body, every reaction, every shutdown has a reason behind it.

Watching Cuda start to soften, trust, and finally begin to feel okay in his own body again has honestly been emotional. The horse standing here today is not the same horse from a year ago.

And none of this would have been possible without his owner. She has followed every single part of our program to the T, even when progress felt slow. She has never once put timelines, ego, or expectations above this horse’s wellbeing. She has loved him exactly where he’s at and given him the time he needed to heal properly. That kind of owner is rare.

Healing horses like this is never about forcing them forward. It’s about listening close enough that they no longer feel like they have to fight to be understood.

Proud of you, Cuda and Sarah šŸ¤
