Well, with sadness in our hearts, we are giving in. Unfortunately, we are unable to make ends meet. Dezi, Lucy & Little Ricky are going to a wonderful home in Reno.
Over the years, we have managed to keep a dozen horses out of the kill buyers hands, here in Fallon Nevada.
Keep in mind, Second Chance Feedlot, here in Fallon, will keep pulling at your heart strings to save the horses, her mother (the kill buyer), has. They keep the money in the family.
We kept up the fight to prevent this horrible family from buying horses cheap at the 2 livestock auctions here.
We want to thank our supporters, for their help over the years, at keeping the few we could, away from the feedlot.

Happy Wednesday to all of our supporters & followers!!
It's been a short bit since we posted.
Our 3 occupants at the Ranch, are all doing well. Desi, Lucy & Little Ricky.
We continue to attend both livestock auctions, every week. The kill buyer here, makes sure she outbids anyone attempting to purchase any of the horses. We just don't have the funds to outbid her. So, she has her daughter share the horses on Facebook, with a huge mark up, asking people to save them from her mother, the kill buyer. That's what we are working against.
We just wanted to let you all know we still try. NEVER GIVE UP!

We are going to try and feed 3 families, in our 1st Thanksgiving Day feed!
We know, that most of our followers are from different areas of the United States. But we would like to provide 3 families in our area, a wonderful Thanksgiving Day Dinner.

We've been getting a lot of new likes to the page. Thank you!
So, I would like to explain in a post what we do.
We live local, to the 2 Northern Nevada sale yards. We keep watch and are informed when there are horses there that need us. We actively bid against the kill buyers, to try to prevent them from sending the horses to slaughter. When the KB buys them, her daughter puts them on a local page and advertises that they are trying to save them and raises their prices.
We try to prevent this. It's the horses that matter. Not the pockets of the KB and her daughter.
We do not fundraise unless we absolutely have to.
We have helped 28 horses from taking that horrible ride North.
We do have a paypal to donate to. If you would like to donate towards future horses at risk.

Here we are again at auction.
WE are these horses only chance.
If they get purchased by the kill buyer, they up the price and won't let legitimate 501 3c horse rescues help in any way. Last week they turned down a local horse rescue, whom was just interviewed on a local tv station.
Please donate if you are able.
Due to a rescue coming here a few years back from CA and rescuing mustang's, we are prohibited from taking pictures.
Please find it in your heart to donate.
We dont want another empty trailer coming home again.

Well, we have returned home with an empty trailer. Horse prices are up here per pound.
It is heartbreaking, watching the horses we can't help, get purchased by the local kill buyer.
Knowing that she (the kill buyer) will maybe offer her daughter a chance to put their feedlot page. There, the daughter will up the price and ask for donations to save them. At outrageous prices.
Today, we were unable to help any of the horses that went through.
Never say never.
