🚨 FOUND DOG 🚨 New York

This sweet Cairn Terrier was found on Armor Duells Road this weekend and brought to our station. He was not microchipped and was not wearing a collar.

At this time, he is NOT available for adoption as we are hoping to reunite him with his family. ❤️

‘Spy’ is in a rescue in Pinehurst Texas. Looking for his forever family. 💗🙏🏼💗

That’s how long Spy has been waiting for someone to see past his fear… and into his heart. Spy is a 5-year-old, 24-pound Cairn Terrier with a rough-around-the-edges charm and a spirit that refuses to give up, even after life hasn’t always been kind to him. He’s currently being cared for in the Houston area, still waiting and hoping his person is out there.

Spy can be wary of new people, and trust doesn’t come easy for him. Sudden movements can make him flinch. He needs patience, kindness, and a calm adult-only home willing to let him move at his own pace. But underneath those walls is a sweet, goofy little dog who desperately wants to feel safe and loved.

The people who know Spy best say he truly shines around other dogs. They help him feel confident, secure, and brave enough to explore the world. He’s potty trained, loves toys and treats, enjoys routine, and is even working hard on his leash manners. He’s eager to experience life beyond survival.

Spy isn’t a “perfect” dog. He’s a healing dog. And sometimes those are the dogs who love the deepest once they know they’re finally home.

For the right person, someone compassionate, patient, and steady, Spy will be worth every moment of waiting. He just needs someone willing to believe in him before he fully believes in himself.

Spy is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and up to date on all preventions.

Hi, my name is Kipper. I am a sweet senior West Highland White Terrier looking for a quiet, understanding home to spend my golden years. I am 13 years old, but besides from a little arthritis, I am in good physical health. You would never know my age so please keep it between us. I don't want the girl westies to find out my age. Lol.

I am a 22 lb neutered male and up to date on vaccines and l enjoy the simple things in life—especially leisurely walks where I do great on a leash. So you can get some cardio if I am your boy. Let's grab that leash and go for a walk together.

Here are some notes from Miss Stacie from the shelter who is trying to find me the perfect home. “After losing his lifelong owner and recently being separated from his second due to medical circumstances, Kipper has been through a lot of change, and because of this, he can be protective of his person. He needs time to warm up and prefers to be approached on his own terms—but once he trusts you, his true personality really shines."

"He would do best in a calm, adult-only home without children. He may do well with the right dog companion, but a low-key environment will help him feel most secure.”

This is a home-to-home placement—Kipper is not in the shelter. He is currently staying with the owner’s friend, but can only stay a short time due to upcoming surgery. Please let’s get him adopted or fostered so he doesn’t have to be in the shelter.

Approved fosters, email your Foster Coordinator to schedule pickup.

💰 It costs $0 to foster. We provide food, beds, crates, toys, etc!
⏰ People ask how long a foster commitment is for. That is up to you! We work with fosters to move pups until they are fully up to date on shots, surgeries, and get adopted out. Sometimes pups don’t work out with fosters and we ask for some time to find another foster.
