While we celebrate the red, white, and blue, don’t forget that this holiday can be stressful for our furry friends. Fireworks, loud gatherings, and summer heat can all pose risks to pets.

💊 If your pet needs anti anxiety medication, do not wait. Often these medications are more helpful if they are started at least 12-24 hours before a stressful event. 💊

Tips to keep pets safe:
• Keep pets indoors and create a quiet, secure space
• Make sure ID tags and microchips are up to date
• Avoid feeding table scraps—many holiday foods are toxic to pets
• Never bring pets to firework displays

FALL RIVER: Our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program is seeking new partnerships! If you know of a residential feral cat colony in FALL RIVER in need of our services, please reach out. We are looking to start immediately and would need your help checking the traps.

There are estimated to be hundreds of thousands of homeless cats in southcoast Massachusetts. The best way to address the feline overpopulation epidemic is to spay & neuter as many cats as possible. We work with members of the community to trap stray cats (using humane traps), and have them sterilized then returned to the same location so that they can live out the rest of their lives healthier and without continuing to reproduce.

If you see homeless cats in your neighbourhood, contact us ASAP so that we can intervene early and improve the kittens' outcome.
