BOLOGNESE PUPPIES
🐾 Some Bolognese puppies are born with pink noses and paw pads.
🐾 They develop their signature dark eyes and button nose over time.
🐾 Champagne coloring may appear in the coat and typically fades as the adult coat comes in.
🐾 Pigmentation is highly sought after by breeders.

FROM BARBET TO BICHON
🌍There was an ancient breed called Barbet, meaning “with a beard.”
🌍The diminutive is Barbichon, which led to the breed family Bichon.
🌍The Bolognese was recognized as a different breed within the Bichon group in the 1800s.
🌍Before that, it existed as a variety of the Maltese.
🌍The difference emphasized is curled/flocked fur instead of the Maltese’s silky straight hair.
