🚨 FOSTER STILL NEEDED 🚨
⏰️ Foster Needed for Senior Standard in New York
Our SSCA Rescue is seeking a foster home for Max, an 11-year-old black Standard Schnauzer located near Suffern, New York.
We first became involved with Max on April 22 and have been working since then to secure a foster placement.
Max has been evaluated through SSCA and has received a positive temperament assessment. He appears to be in good health, current on the rabies vaccine, and has a veterinary statement of good health on file.
During the evaluation, he was described as polite on leash, interested in the visit without becoming overwhelmed, and comfortable being handled and groomed. He is reported to do well with people and female dogs. He has not been tested with cats or male dogs.
➡️ Our immediate need is a foster home of any duration to help stabilize his situation while we continue working toward a permanent placement.

As a community dedicated to preserving and protecting our breed, we are hopeful that someone within our network may be able to open their home, provide a temporary foster placement, or help us identify a suitable home. Homes in the Northeast are preferred for transport ease, but we are open to other locations.
Let’s work together to get Max into a safe, stable foster home.
