The Fairmont Dog Park, maintained by the City of Fairmont opened on September 12, 2015 with special thanks to the community for their financial support, the City of Fairmont, committee members and volunteers who helped make this a reality. This 1.5 acre off leash dog park has a double gated entryway, and a run for all dogs along with a special area for small dogs.

Special thanks to this team from Grace Lutheran Church who came out to the dog park this morning to stain the pergolas and to the City of Fairmont for providing the stain and brushes. There is still more staining to do but its off to a good start. The memorial bricks are looking good too.

Does anyone have a gas powered w**d wacker and lawn edger? I started to work on cleaning up the memorial bricks at the dog park, but I really need someone to trim away the overgrown grass to expose the area around the bricks. I did spray grass and w**d killer tonight so that should help a bit. I'd eventually like to add some decorative brick around the edges as pictured to prevent it from over growing again. Any other suggestions or people willing to donate bricks would be greatly appreciated. If you can help please PM me.

Just looking for an update on how things are going at the dog park? Thanks to those of you who are bringing out the plastic bags and cleaning up after your dogs. I'm sure things got pretty messy over the winter but hopefully all of that has been cleaned up by now,. We want to keep the park clean, in good repair, and make sure we all being responsible dog owners so everyone can enjoy their time at the park. 🤣
