My parents opened McAteer’s Restaurant in Fairmont back in 1958, and I’ve been sole proprietor since the mid 1980's. Serving this community for over four decades has been one of the greatest honors of my life.
I graduated from Fairmont Senior High School and went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in Business from Fairmont State University. Over the years, I’ve stayed deeply involved in our community—serving as a Notary Public, volunteering locally, and being an active member of St. Peter the Fisherman Church, the Marion County Chamber of Commerce, and the Knights of Columbus.
As a small business owner, I understand the challenges our local businesses face. I’m passionate about supporting growth, encouraging new opportunities, and keeping Marion County a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I believe in supporting our police and fire departments, improving infrastructure, investing in education, and continuing to build a strong, thriving community.

Introducing Ugly Chews, natural, single-ingredient, USA-sourced, and on a zero-waste mission 🙌 They even still have hair on them… yes, really 😳
I wasn’t prepared for how wild and awesome these are as you can see by my reactions seeing them for the first time 😂🐶
