4/10 - pup date. We have a foster!! Miss Luna still isn't wanting to eat/drink much but she is alert and tail wags. Keep sending prayers. And thank you for the donations. We still need more but appreciate all we have received so far!

Viola had her surgery yesterday and is doing great. She is staying with a staff member a few nights for observation (wants to chew at her mammary tumor stitches.

update 4/8: We still need a foster (she should get released from vet tomorrow), and we still need donations please!

We got Luna from Harrison County WV Animal Control and have transported her to Middletown Animal Clinic for treatment. We are opting to have the a Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody (CPMA) injection given to help with treatment. That alone is $1000. Other costs will be added in such as fluids, antibiotics, etc. So we are not yet sure of the entire bill but estimate $1500 +.
Please donate if you can to help Luna, as we are still looking for help with other vet bills coming up for mass removals/spays and an eye removal. April's vet bills will easily top $4k. We cannot help these animals without your assistance.

And please don't forget we will still need a quarantine for Luna during her 14 day quarantine period after treatment.
And send prayers! Parvo is a horrific disease that is SO PREVENTABLE!

Here is some information on H5N1 in cats that we all need to be made aware of. It seems the most susceptible are going to be outdoor cats, feral and barn cats.

Since the U.S. outbreak of avian influenza A (H5N1) in dairy cattle began in March 2024, dozens of cats are known to have contracted the virus, including barn and feral cats, indoor cats, and big cats in zoos and in the wild (e.g., mountain lions, tigers, leopards, and bobcats).
