Lollys Dollys, Shanks Schweenies

Lollys Dollys, Shanks Schweenies Unfortunately we are not breeding Schweenies, any longer. It has been a pleasure! We are located in south western Ohio.

I have left this page up so people who have puppies from Lollys Dollys, can post pics and information as they grow or just keep in touch. **All images on our page is the property of Shanks Schweenies and may not be reproduced without permission **

We are in home, hobby breeders since 2016. We reside in a home with a 1/2 acre fenced in yard for safe playtime. Our dogs are a treasured part of our

family and we treat them as such. Our sunroom becomes a nursery with each puppy litter. Our puppies are loved and cuddled to socialize them before going to their forever families. Our primary goal is to place our puppies with
The most perfect families and in their forever homes. We welcome any questions you may have at any time. I will be there at any time you need answers including after the puppy is in your home. You can reach us by FB messenger, text or phone (252-340-6341) or email at

Waiting for their treats after the groomer!

Lilly has been with us about 6 weeks now. She had her vet visit - very healthy. Weighs in at 11.4 lbs. she is doing great with house training! (Almost totally done). Se loves her crate and goes in and out as she pleases. She has learned several hand commands and the words that match. She is just the biggest snuggle bug! She has made friends with the other dogs (Loki is a work in progress) especially Max. All in all a great addition to our family!

Update on Lilly.
She wasn’t responding to any of us very well so I contacted the previous owner and found she had heard mostly Spanish! I do not know much Spanish. So I decided if we had to learn an entirely new language we will teach her hand signals. So far, she learned NO in one day. She knows
And reacts to no, come, out, and we are working on sit and down.

She is catching on to house training and tonight she went on the pad by the door. (It’s better than my floor!) I feel like she will do much better as she gets more familiar with all the changes and adjustments.

Meet Lily! We did sort of a rescue to help a young lady and young family. She is settling in well. She is learning hand signals, since the first year and a half she heard mostly Spanish and I know very little! She is picking up on the hand signals and responding well.

UPDATE!!
She is going to give it a little more time before rehoming him!

Okay friends, I am trying to help my cousin place this dog she rescued from the streets. Se took him to the vet and he is chipped. The owner didn’t want him so she took him but cannot keep him.
He is a Pomsky, his name is Bear. He just turned 2 Dec 30th ( per chip). She said he weighs around 30 pounds. She said he is a really sweet dog, good with her grandbaby and the other dog, but the other dog does NOT like him!
If you are interested you can message me or her, Bobbie Donahoe, on messenger.

Just passing along useful information. I NEVER a give my
Pups rawhide. Try Healthy Edibles or Bam Bones.

Rawhide chews are not christmas gifts; they are unplanned ER vet visits just waiting to happen!
They are terrible for dogs but stores sell them because people keep buying them. Rawhide are harmful from processing with irritating chemicals, the small choking hazard pieces, the swallowed piece sits in the stomach and irritates your dogs stomach for months or forms a complete blockage from a big piece or several smaller pieces clumping together in the dogs intestines.

Canine intestinal blockage or foreign body surgery costs about 2-3k in this area to treat an obstruction. That $7 candy cane rawhide doesn't look so cute now, does it?

These are the most common rawhide risks:

Contamination. As with pet toys, rawhide chews can contain trace amounts of toxic chemicals. And, as with other pet (or human) foods, Salmonella or E. coli contamination is possible. Even humans can be at risk when coming into contact with these bacteria on rawhide treats.

Digestive irritation. Some dogs are simply sensitive or allergic to rawhide or other substances used in their manufacture processes. This can cause problems, including diarrhea and vomiting.

Choking or blockages. Rawhide bones and other edible chews can pose a choking and blockage risk. In fact, this is a much bigger risk than contamination or digestive irritation. If your dog swallows large pieces of rawhide, the rawhide can get stuck in the esophagus or other parts of the digestive tract. Depending on its size and where it is located, a local vet may be able to remove these pieces fairly easily through the throat. But sometimes, abdominal surgery is needed to remove them from the stomach or intestines. If it isn’t resolved, a blockage can lead to death.

It doesn't take much. Similar to the way small pieces of hair clog a drain, the small pieces of rawhide can clump and block your dog similar to the various items pictured in the first photo below. This is usually a hard thing to diagnose because rawhide is skin. Xrays don't show skin very well so usually a contrast study with barium is needed. Typically a barium study runs $500-900 in this area. Once the blockage is found then the surgery or endoscopic retrieval can be done. The best case scenario is your dog is puking and pooping out the pieces and this can be painful it there's a pointed piece that injures the tissues on its way out.

Please save your dog some pain and yourself hours waiting at an emergency clinic and thousands of dollars.

Don't buy rawhide.

You might have heard that rawhide is good for your dog's teeth and helps with his natural instinct to chew. But are there any drawbacks to giving your dog rawhide treats? WebMD tells you what you need to know about this popular canine chew.
