🌿 Ironw**d might be our favorite summer flower right now—but it has plenty of competition! Peppermint, sunflowers, swamp milkw**d, boneset, and goldenrod are all blooming beautifully.

And we’re especially excited about the natives we planted from Root 11 Native Plant Nursery: sweet joe-pye w**d, false sunflower, smooth blue aster, and Indian grass. 🌸🌾 They’re thriving, and we can’t wait to see them grow, spread, and support pollinators for years to come. 🐝🦋

Each of these plants brings something special:
💜 Ironw**d – late-summer color and nectar for butterflies
🌸 Swamp Milkw**d – a vital host plant for monarch caterpillars
🌻 Sunflowers – pollinator magnets that also feed the birds
🌿 Boneset – a powerhouse for native bees

🌿🦋 We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome both our beautiful swamp milkw**d and our very first visiting monarchs! This is the first year we’ve spotted them on our property, and it was definitely a “drop everything and grab the camera” moment. Milkw**d is the host plant for monarch butterflies—it’s where they lay their eggs and the only food source for their caterpillars—making it vital for their survival.
