It's not just that he was my brother and friend.
It's not just that we were co-conspitators, walking partners and official greeters.
It's not just that until March he never had a "down" day in his life.
It's not just that he was on a never ending (and unsuccessful) hunt for every bird, squirrel and chipmunk on the property.
No, it's not just any of that !
Above all, and of most importance to me,was that he was just Utah.

Mom just came back from the vet with Utah. Here is what she said:

"We took Utah to Dr. Nate this morning and left him there as requested expecting the worst. He had not eaten for two days, was very lethargic and very weak. We learned that it is an abdominal inflammation and that it is not the cancer making him sick. He was given acupuncture, and herbs rectally which we will continue to give him over the next 5 days. He is eating, playing and happy. I feel we dodged a bullet. Thanks to everyone for their well wishes."
