Marin Stables Hanging With Horses-Saturday, 06/14/2025

Come join us for the last Hangin' with Horses for the 2025 season.

Marin Stables is celebrating 88 years of horses in Fairfax, join us for some equine time and get to know Fairfax’s own historic horse stable!

There will be a few horses you can meet out in the front paddocks hangin’ with
their volunteer owners!

No charge and open to all ages

🌿✨ Volunteer Day at Marin Stables – Let’s Pull Some Broom! ✨🌿

Join Marin Stables and our friends at Marin Water (MMWD) for a fun morning of habitat restoration!

🗓 Saturday, April 19th
📍 Marin Stables Parking Lot
⏰ Starts at 9:00 AM – Lunch around Noon

Help us pull invasive broom from the trails we love, then kick back with a complimentary lunch at the stables!

👕 What to Wear:
Long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy hiking shoes.

🧤 What’s Provided:
Tools, gloves, water, and lunch (for registered volunteers only!)

🌦 We work in light rain – come prepared for variable weather and bring a refillable water bottle.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family-Friendly!
Great for ages 8 and up (under 16 must be with an adult). Volunteers under 18 must have a signed Volunteer Service Agreement from a parent/guardian.

🚗 Directions from Sir Francis Drake Blvd:
From downtown Fairfax, take Bolinas-Fairfax Rd. Less than a mile in, turn left onto Porteous Ave and follow it, keeping right at all forks (Porteous Ave → Wood Ln) to reach the Marin Stables parking lot.
👉 Drive slowly – the road is narrow and residential.

Our Annual Fall Fiesta is back again this year, the 3rd week in September!

It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a lovely evening with your friends under the stars, surrounded by the beautiful horses at historic Marin Stables.

Join us in supporting the county's equine history at the last public stable and help keep horses part of the community in Marin.

Silent Auction, of course, packed with fantastic donations from our esteemed members including wine, vacations, and art, plus generous auction items from local shops in Fairfax, San Anselmo, and all around Marin.

Tacos, margaritas, wine, beer and soda, plus live music by our favorite and talented cowboy crooner, Danny Montana!

Treats and gifts for everyone in your family including your dogs and horses!
