What do you do when you get a snow day? We hooked up my personal horse to a sled and had a little fun. He hit the black mats at the end and nearly went down. Other than that, success. I sure do love my horse. Got any snow pics or videos of you and your horse? Please share.
A little trail riding today, and Rocky took some briars home with him. This guy is a good one. He's available too!!!!
He was so dirty, but still beautiful. We love our donkey studs at G&G. This is Gunner!!!
Always make sure your horse will lead politely and load/back out of a trailer. If California has taught us nothing else, it's that you might need to evacuate quickly. Floods, fire, tornado, earthquake, hurricane, or tsunami might not be anything you ever have to deal with, but you have to be prepared just in case. Even your brood mares, babies, and pasture puffs should be able to easily be loaded and relocated. If they won't load, you may have to leave them behind, and no one wants to live with the unknown fate of their babies. We have taught a few to back out of a trailer that owner's swore wouldn't. If you need help, we are here. We can walk you through it, or provide training video for free.
He just gets better and better. I can't stress enough, the importance of good training.
Rocky learning a new trick. Training by Kristin.

Tango and Kristin taking a swim today.
Trail riding without a bridle on a 2 year old? Yep... Train em right.
This is why I changed my model. My yearlings and 2 year olds... there's nothing you can't do with them right in the pasture. I think you could shoe them just standing there. They crave attention and trust 100%. They have been with me since birth or at least since they were a yearling. They get daily touches and only know people as good. Even the studs are calmer, gentle, polite, know boundaries, and are low man in the field. Start them right and you get the right horse.
This guy hasn't sold, and I don't know why? Tre rode him Saturday and he did great. Walks through mud and water like it's nothing. Registered with amazing papers. Shedding off beautifully. Mud's Little Coach is being offered for $3500. Certainly not because of anything he's done wrong. If you want a good one for the right price, better pm me!!!
