We are grieving the loss of of
My close friend …Michelle … she was a part of Holy Dog in so many ways
It started with an email maybe back in 2006 2007… moving to Alaska I would love to work for you
That turned into a supportive, wonderful friendship, and of course, a debate on which type of red dog was better than the other
Mine being Rhodesian Ridgeback, and hers being Vizsla
You can imagine which one she thought was better! The unwritten rule was no matter where I went and traveled to. If there was a vizsla , I would take a picture and send to her.
Every vizsla you may see in Fairbanks I can put money on she knew who they were where they came from and if they didn’t, they would very very soon become friends with Michelle
She always supported Holy Dog and me personally over the years
we taught many classes here in dog training back in the day together
When she decided to go back to teaching high school, many of my employees came from her recommendation of kids looking for a summer job
Anytime I was lacking confidence with my role here at Holy Dog. She always listens to me and would always encourage me.
She showed up when Kenai and Saffron had to pass over to the rainbow bridge to say goodbye
And her love for Abu my whippit which she always said could be a token vizsla because she loved having her come visit and stay at her house for princess treatment when I would go away

I will miss my friend and of course, every time I spend with any Vizsla. And yes, she would tell me it’s a Z before S !!! get it straight ha ha ha. I will always think of her!
May we all be as passionate, patient, focused, determined and kind as Michelle

Holy Dog has a lot of spirits here …
And I know Michelle’s is added to that with the others that have crossed the rainbow bridge that we loved so so much
Kenai Seka Willow Saffron Queenie Brighton Teagan and so many more that are waiting

What cancer has taken from us will not change what you left with us …

If you were missing a small medium gray dog off of Juniper and tungsten Trail

Jerry sighted a fox carrying a decapitated body of a dog with that description down by the S curves where Juniper turns into tungsten trail

We are sad for the owner and for this poor dog
He said, without a doubt, it was not a rabbit. It was not a cat, but a dog.
