We know that your furry babies are very important to you - we also know that when a precious friend is having an emergency - it can be hard to think straight, or to figure out where to go/who to call.

The Veterinary community in Fairbanks and North Pole have been working tirelessly over the last couple of years to make sure that our community has access to 24-hour regular and emergency veterinary care. we have been doing this by coordinating coverage between clinics, providing written schedules and keeping our social medias up to date, etc. This being said, we have found it difficult to be 100% successful with this type of care due to many factors effecting the different practices in town, the most pertinent being unable to keep staffing those After Hours shifts.

But not all hope is lost!! We are excited to announce a partnership with VetTriage -- an after-hours, telemedicine service that connects you to standby Veterinarians via video chat session! This service allows you to sign up, pay a small fee, and then you can speak to a licensed Veterinarian! (And, they send us any records created by your call so we can follow up when we open the next business day!)

We want to encourage community members to continue utilizing the in person emergency services when available (a schedule can be found on our social medias, and most of the other clinics have the schedule posted as well,) and to utilize this service for times that there is NO emergency services open. As many of you know, there are many nights of the week that in-hospital emergency care is only available until Midnight, which means this service will be an excellent option for emergencies between Midnight and 8 AM on those evenings when there is no open hospital services.

We hope that our clients and patients find a sense of peace and stability knowing that there is SOME kind of option for Emergency Care during the hours that we as your Veterinary Community just cannot physically staff right now.
