Best part of this update, from Bethel Friends of Canines about the typhoon victims in the YK delta, is that so many pets were able to be reunited with their families 🥹 We can't imagine the heartbreak of having lost our best furry friends in such a devastating time. Praying for every 🐶🐱 to be home safe soon. We are watching the updates with 🙏 and helping from afar as much as we can.

Black and white pet portraits. This is by appointment with a $50 session fee. Appointments will be 15 minutes long with a max of 3 pets per appointment (multiple appointments welcome). Keep in mind there are other pets present.*cats, parrots, hamsters, snakes are all welcome. This session is taking place in a public area in an area with many businesses. This session does not come with any prints or images however all the photos captured within the 15 minutes will be uploaded to an online gallery where prints and digitalis can be purchased and one free digital can be redeemed when you spend $15 or more. Color edits now available for additional fee.

Nothing warms up our souls more than welcoming new pet families to Pretty Pawz spa and seeing their latest adoption from our local Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Control shelter 💖. Last month we had many wonderful visits from new and previous adoptions alike, who are now regular clients.

Bear, adopted summer 2024, is thriving and is always a joy to see at the salon. Tank, adopted fall 2024, got a royal treatment at our spa in celebration of his “Shelter Glow Up”. Charlie and Titus, our newest clients, came straight to us for a well-deserved pampering after being adopted by lovely parents just a few weeks ago.

Currently our shelter is over capacity ☹️ (yet again!). Please visit the shelter for their adoption special and consider adopting one or more of these beautiful animals. We need to come together as a community to stop unplanned and unethical breeding of dogs and cats. We have way too many animals in need of homes. Let’s step up and make a difference. We look forward to pampering more and more of your adopted rescues! 🐶❤️

Meet Mr. Tank who was adopted back in August 2024. Tank spends his time camping with his humans and loves to snuggle up and get cozy on the couch. His favorite snack is French fries! 🍟

We are thrilled to see this kind of support for spay/neuter and veterinary care for dogs and cats. We are committed to efforts to alleviate the overpopulation, neglect and abuse of dogs and cats, in our state of Alaska, across the nation and worldwide, and programs like these give us hope. We are excited to find growing opportunities to participate in efforts to better the lives of pets in our community and help curb unplanned and unethical breeding.

Look who visited the Pretty Pawz Pet Spa today 😍 Meet Charlie, formerly Malcolm at the Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Control shelter (found all alone outside a store in Delta Junction) 💝 It was so heartwarming to see him and pamper him today, especially since Azariah Goldsmith and Sam Mashal spent hours this morning trying to catch another rescue pup that got loose in North Pole a few days ago and they sighted her on their way to the salon. Unfortunately we were not able to capture her today but we will keep working with our community to find her...meanwhile it was wonderful to come in to work after that and meet Charlie and enjoy getting all his puppy love 💕 Welcome, Charlie to the Pretty Pawz family. We are excited to watch you grow into a big boi full of life and joy!! Visit our borough shelter and help find all the pups their forever homes. Thank you, 💝

✨Grooming style showcase✨ Modified Poodle Lamb Cut

This style features a short body haircut with longer legs and a shaved tail and feet. The Lamb Cut is a well-loved style for its easy at-home maintenance and also simply for how friggin cute it looks!

This poodle was groomed by our pro stylist Sammie.
