We got another removal call this evening. Another copperhead. This one wasn't in as sensitive of a location. Came out without a fight and was safely released. Such beautiful animals.

We have some baby leucistic Texas rat snakes ready for new homes. They are eating great.

1st babies are making their way into the world. Parents are both leucistic so all babies(16) are leucistic.

Here is another article(national) on the copperhead removal.

"With logs and bark and sawdust everywhere there are plenty of opportunities for [snakes] to hide, find food and hibernate," reptile expert Jake Whitehead said.

So we got a pretty interesting call Friday evening...... if anyone in the area has any unwelcomed guests in or around their house you are welcome to call/message and we'll come relocate it.

A copperhead was in the freshly washed laundry load the evening of July 9, said Jessica Bruner, the 15-year-old’s mother.

Clutch #10 is 21 pearly whites from an Everglades x Everglades. She laid 15 last year. She looks like she was carrying at least 50, glad it was only 21.

Clutch #7 is an exciting one. Parents are both het scaleless Everglades rat snakes. On average 1/4 of the babies should be scaleless.

So far it's been an awesome year for eggs. 67 good eggs and 2 slugs. Then there was today..... 2 girls laid today, a scaleless Texas rat and a het scaleless. Appeared to be a total bust but large Marge (scaleless) had 1 perfect pearly white. Gotta take the good with the bad.
