Hot shoeing a horse, compared to cold shoeing, can be very beneficial. When hot fitting, the shoe melts into the hoof creating a perfect marriage of shoe a foot. This helps take strain off the the nails and keeps the shoe secure. Also, you are able to create a perfectly level hoof which is incredibly important when keeping a horse sound.

Leaving shoes on a horse too long and improper trimming can cause serious issues. It can leave the animal in excruciating pain and eventually cause lameness. A horse should be trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks. Horses with shoes need to have them pulled or reset every 6. To make an appointment to have your horse trimmed or shod call (402)-741-9535.
