Shel Graves Animal Consulting

Shel Graves Animal Consulting Dog training, dog and cat behavior consulting, and pet loss support. We have a heart for shelter and rescue animals as well as senior dogs and cats.

Shel Graves Animal Consulting uses positive reinforcement training to help animals (dogs, cat, humans, and all) be relaxed, confident, playful, and safe together. We provide day training and coaching services to help families resolve troublesome behaviors. When animals have experienced the worst humans can be, we show them the best -- and watch them blossom! We are there for difficult transitions

and conversations including end-of-life and grief counseling.

In person: serving North Everett, Northwest Snohomish County
Outside of service area, travel fee may apply.

Virtual consults: available anywhere

Doing Our Best for Animals at Edmonds College’s Creative Retirement Institute. Forty people came to learn about animal emotions: understanding dogs and cats. We talked about animal happiness, fear, grief, guilt, and gratitude and how to understand animal emotions by reading body language, watching for signs of stress, and observing play. Lots of great discussion! Thanks all!

Spring inspiration! Do you love dogs? Do you love your outdoor space? Enrichment--engaging your an animal's senses, providing safe places for them to engage in natural behaviors, and providing them fun activities--can help with a lot of behavioral issues and boost everyone's happiness! What if your garden, instead of being a place to keep your dog out of, was a place they were invited to explore?! https://www.shelgravesanimal.com/post/sensory-gardens-for-dogs-what-could-a-horticulturalist-do-for-dogs

One of the memberships important to Shel Graves Animal Consulting...The Pet Professional Guild and its strong ethical stances for people and pets (for human and other-than-human animals). Thank you, PPG!

Diversity - Equity - Inclusion.

Over the last few weeks, we have seen many organizations move to roll back their DEI policies. This suggests that these policies were temporary strategies rather than embedded principles.
