Meet Teddy—the most adorable little mixed breed baby and the proud owner of one of the most uniquely interesting coat textures we have seen in the salon lately! 🐾✨

Teddy's coat is a wonderful combination of wiry guard hairs on the outside and a softer, more delicate undercoat underneath. It is a really cool and unique texture that suits his personality perfectly—and the great news is that it is genuinely easy to maintain with the right at home routine!

But here is something important that every owner of a mixed coat type like Teddy's should know. Without consistent regular brushing tiny little mats can quietly form within that softer undercoat—often in places that are hard to see or notice right away. One or two small mats here and there are really not a big deal and are easily taken care of. But when many small mats accumulate throughout the coat over time they can create genuine and significant discomfort for your dog. It is one of those things that sneaks up gradually and is so much easier to prevent than to address once it has built up.

The wonderful news about Teddy? He came in perfectly brushed out and his coat was in absolutely beautiful condition. His groom was such a joy because of it and the results were stunning! His owner deserves a huge round of applause for keeping up with his brushing routine at home! 👏💕

🎒 Remember the nerves of your very first day of school? 🐾

The oversized backpack, wandering into a giant playground, trying to figure out who to sit with at lunch...

That's basically what Lucy's first day of daycare looked like. 🐾

Sending your pup to daycare for the first time can feel a lot like sending a kid off to kindergarten. Well... almost the same. Instead of cubbies and spelling tests, it's all about sniffing out the new classroom, navigating recess with the pack, and giving the local "water fountain" a thorough inspection. 💦

Ace's first day started a little like many new dogs do: lots of sniffing, lots of observation, and lots of figuring out what exactly he'd gotten himself into. 🐾

Once the introductions were over and Ace realized the wranglers were his friends, his personality started shining through. He quickly became a favorite among the playgroup, making friends with a young Great Dane and a Pyrenees puppy while enjoying games of chase, ball, and splashing through the hose.

One thing we loved seeing was how often Ace checked in with his handler. When things got a little overwhelming, he'd come over for reassurance before heading right back to the fun. That's a great sign of confidence and trust.

By the end of the day, Ace had won over the dogs, the staff, and probably the hose, too. ☀️💦

Charlie is one of our most loyal and well prepared regulars, and his owner has mastered the art of prebooking appointments way out in advance. And right now that forward thinking is paying off in the biggest way—because spring deshed season is officially here and things are picking up fast!

Spring is one of the absolute busiest times of year for professional dog groomers. As the weather warms up dogs begin blowing their winter coats and deshed appointments fill up incredibly quickly. We are already seeing our schedule get packed out and the rush has only just begun.

Charlie was not about to let his appointment get pushed out because he forgot to book ahead—and honestly we could not respect that more! 😄💕 He came in right on schedule, got his thorough spring deshed, and is heading into the warmer months feeling light, comfortable, and absolutely amazing.

Every dog experiences their first day at daycare a little differently.

When Fred arrived, he wasn't quite ready to dive into the action. Instead, he took the smart approach: observe first, participate later. 🐾

Throughout the morning, Fred carefully explored the playgroup, introducing himself through sniffing and learning who was who. As the day progressed, his confidence began to grow. After nap time, he started approaching other dogs and testing the waters socially.

Some dogs were ready to interact. Others were ready for a nap. Fred handled both responses beautifully, respecting boundaries while continuing to build confidence.

Day one is officially in the books, and we think Fred is just getting started.
