Rey may be tiny, but she had BIG daycare energy once she got comfortable today. 🐾💛

She started the morning meeting Taiko and Dot for the very first time and was a little cautious during those initial introductions—which is completely normal when dogs are learning new social dynamics. After about 30 minutes, though, everyone had settled in beautifully and the play officially began. ❤️

From there, Rey bounced back and forth between wrestling with Taiko and playing with Dot, burning through tons of energy indoors throughout the day. While the cool, damp weather outside definitely wasn’t her favorite, her new friends did manage to convince her into a few short outdoor chase games before she happily returned inside.

By the afternoon, Rey and Dot had become especially close play buddies and spent even more time playing together after naps. 🐶

Not every daycare friendship happens instantly, which is why we love watching dogs slowly build confidence and connections throughout the day.

Meet Barley—an absolutely adorable doodle with the most gorgeous tight poodle-like curls! 🐾✨

Barley's curl pattern is beautifully dense and compact, which makes her coat one of the most unique and eye catching we see in the salon. But those gorgeous curls come with some important coat care considerations that every doodle owner should know about!

Tight curly coats like Barley's are one of the most challenging coat types to maintain. Because the curls are so dense they can trap loose hair, debris, and moisture close to the skin rather than allowing it to shed naturally. Without regular attention this can quickly become uncomfortable and lead to serious coat problems. That's why we keep Barley's coat short—it's the most comfortable and practical choice for her specific curl pattern and ensures she always feels her absolute best.

But professional grooming alone isn't enough for a coat like Barley's. Daily brushing at home is absolutely essential for doodles—especially those with tighter curl patterns. Even just a few minutes of careful brushing each day helps prevent buildup, keeps the coat manageable, and makes every salon visit so much smoother and more enjoyable for your pup.

Not every daycare success story starts with nonstop play and instant confidence. 🐾

Marty took a little time to settle into the group today, and honestly, that’s very normal for thoughtful or sensitive dogs entering a new environment. While some of the more enthusiastic greetings from Taiko and Maia initially made him uncomfortable, our staff closely monitored his body language and gave him the space he needed to adjust safely.

As the visit progressed, Marty began relaxing more and chose to stay near the other dogs instead of isolating himself completely—which was a really positive sign. ❤️

One of his favorite activities ended up being fence watching with Banana. The two spent time calmly observing cars, squirrels, people, and passing dogs together, which gave Marty a comfortable way to stay engaged while building confidence in the group setting. 🐶

Sometimes daycare progress looks like wrestling and zoomies. Other times, it looks like quietly existing near other dogs and slowly learning the environment is safe—and that matters just as much. 💛

Every salon has a diva in charge—and ours is the one and only Aspen! 👑🐾

Aspen came in today for her regular tidy trim and a thorough deshed, and as always she ran the whole show from start to finish. She knows exactly what she wants and she is not shy about letting us know! But honestly? We wouldn't have her any other way. She is absolutely iconic. 😄💕

Here's why Aspen's deshed treatment is such an important part of her regular routine. Dogs with fuller, thicker coats naturally shed their undercoat throughout the year—and when that loose undercoat isn't removed regularly it can build up close to the skin, trapping heat and causing real discomfort especially during warmer months. A thorough professional deshed removes all of that buildup and allows the coat to breathe and function the way it's meant to.

Keeping Aspen brushed out at home between appointments is equally important. Regular brushing helps manage shedding, keeps her coat healthy, and ensures she stays comfortable and happy in any weather—rain, shine, heat or cold.

She left today looking and feeling like the queen she absolutely is! 👑✨
