We have had multiple successful ties with both females this week. That means puppies in 63-66 days (middle to late June). I won’t know how many until their X-ray appointments about 7 days before their expected due dates.
I won’t know s*x and color until they are born. These pairings have resulted in Salt and Pepper, Black and Silver, Liver and Tan, Parti with Liver or Black (parti - means white), and solid white.
The dad to all my litters is Leon. He is a 10 # Salt and Pepper 4yr old male that has one blue eye and one blue / brown eye. He is mister charismatic. Some puppies are born with one blue eye and I’ve had several have 2 blue eyes. Leon has a thick, mega coat that doesn’t tangle.
Rayne is my smaller momma. She is a liver and tan, 7.5 pound spitfire. She is 5 years old and this is her last litter. Her puppies tend to be on the smaller size weighing 8.5 to 11 pounds. Rayne’s coat is very soft, normal thickness, and has a little wave to it when longer.
Haven is my 3 yr old white 12-13 pound momma. She is very chill (we call her our stoner girl). She has a brown nose and hazel eyes. Shes our best listener and is the biggest snuggle bug. Her puppies tend to be more of the standard size, about 11-15/16 pounds. She is well built and solid.
Puppies will be ready for forever homes 8 weeks after they are born. They will have their dew claws removed and their tails docked (unless you reserve one with their tail). Tail docking / dew claw removal happens between birthday and 3 days old. You can choose at the time of birth. Puppies go to their homes with their first set of shots and a fresh grooming. Family visits are allowed around 6 weeks after their first vet visit. I start taking them outside to potty around week 5 so they are familiar with outside, but they are not potty trained. Once they hit week 5 momma sleeps in her own crate and all the babies are introduced to a crate (they all sleep together). This helps them transition to crates at their new homes. They will also come with a puppy starter pack - bag of food, teething treat, toys and a blanket.
I keep my intended families updates during the later part of the pregnancy and once babies are born.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I’m always happy to answer.
