HELP! The public pet food pantry at Evansville Animal Care & Control (Official) is running out of cat food and that means empty bowls for lots of hungry cats.

We are going to deliver several bags today but it won't be enough to fill all the hungry tummies in need!

Local veterinarians are issuing a warning for cat owners in our area. An often-fatal tick-borne disease known as Bobcat Fever (Cytauxzoonosis) is actively affecting domestic cats in Kentucky.

This disease is transmitted through a single tick bite. It progresses quickly, causing severe illness, high fevers, and can be fatal within a few days if left untreated.
If your cat goes outdoors at all, please protect them! The best defense is year-round tick prevention. Keeping a high-quality preventative on your cat ensures that ticks cannot latch on and transmit diseases.

The Hotaling Spay/Neuter Clinic offers top-tier flea and tick preventatives for cats, including Nexgard Combo, Bravecto, and Revolution. Some of these products require a prescription, but we offer low-cost, $15 walk-in exams for prescription-grade preventatives. Please call the clinic at 270-783-9404 for more details.

Protect your feline friends before the summer tick season hits full force. You can purchase these preventatives in our clinic 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday.
