Care for their dogs in the home as part of the family, not outside in kennel runs.
Presents adult dogs who appear happy, healthy, and are excited to meet new people and dogs.
Show potential owners where the dogs spend most of their time, which should be a clean, well-maintained area.
Encourage potential owners to spend time with the puppy’s parents when they visit.
Asks that puppies stay with their mother and litter mates 10 to 12 weeks before going to their forever home.
Only breed one or two types of dogs and is knowledgeable about the characteristics of their breed.
Reviews the puppy’s medical history and what vaccinations the new puppy will need.
Explain in detail the potential genetic problems inherent in Cavaliers.
Offer guidance for caring for and training your puppy and is available for assistance after you take your puppy home.
Recommend that new owners promptly take their puppy to a veterinarian for an exam. The responsible breeder’s veterinarian will have already examined your puppy.
Are willing to provide references from other families who have purchased puppies.
Feed their dogs high quality, premium brand pet food.
Do not always have puppies available; but will offer a waitlist for future litters.
Encourage multiple visits and wants the entire family to meet the puppy.
