I am excited to announce that Virgo Gambill Architects and our office in Augusta, GA will be merging with McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture (MPS) in a closing scheduled for this Wednesday, December 7.
Since 1984, VGA has worked hard to establish a strong reputation for client service and design project delivery across a variety of markets in the CSRA. The integration of our firm into McMillan Pazdan Smith further bolsters our existing ties to communities and clients in the area, while expanding our regional practice supporting healthcare; higher education; K-12; commercial, mixed-use, and industrial development; and government, civic and community spaces. Together, we will be able to bring additional talent and resources to the design and planning needs of our growing region. Our prior design partnership with MPS on several projects has demonstrated how well our firms are aligned together. We expect this transition to be very smooth and have already received positive feedback on it from several key clients.
All of our team members are expected to join MPS as part of this integration. Joy Newberry, AIA, will be appointed to Augusta Office Director for McMillan Pazdan Smith and I will continue to be available to you for client development and ongoing project ex*****on. We expect further new opportunities to develop immediately in regards to our prospective work in the region.
MPS already enjoys strong regional ties, having worked with the Augusta University Health Children’s Hospital of Georgia, Aiken High, North Augusta High, Aiken County Government, the Aiken County Library, the Augusta University student center, and The Aiken Technical College—to name a few.
Our office expands McMillan Pazdan Smith’s Southeast footprint that, in total, includes over 300 team members in eight offices across the Carolinas and Georgia.
Thank you for being a valued partner to VGA. We look forward to continuing our relationship with you as part of McMillan Pazdan Smith in 2023 and beyond!
Joe Gambill
