It’s always so rewarding to see my former horses thriving and advancing in their training! ❤️

Remember Stone, the little gray Mustang mare who suffered a pretty nasty injury trying to go through the panels? She was adopted into a wonderful home, and now I get the joy of seeing her every once in a while and watching her progress.

It makes my heart so happy to see her doing well and continuing to grow. There’s nothing better than knowing these horses have found loving homes where they can thrive.

So incredibly grateful for wonderful adopters and the happy endings these horses deserve! 🐴❤️

Seeing some recent posts where people claim a horse isn’t worth what someone is asking has got me thinking.

I’ve seen unbroke horses sell for five figures and horses that bring millions at auction that still require a stud chain to handle.

So what exactly are we valuing? What a horse has accomplished, what we believe he might accomplish, or simply the papers and pedigree attached to his name?

We often hear, “A horse is only worth what someone is willing to pay for him.” But is that his true worth, or simply his market value?

Papers can tell you where a horse came from. Pedigree can suggest what he might become. But neither can fully tell you who he is. They can’t measure his heart, his mind, his character, or the connection he builds with someone willing to understand him.

Sometimes, the horse with no impressive papers or extraordinary price tag is the one who teaches us the most.

Potential can be sold, pedigree can be documented, and talent can be measured. But character, connection, and heart? Those are things you have to take the time to discover.

Maybe a horse’s market value tells us what someone is willing to pay, but it will never tell us everything he is worth.

Have we become so focused on putting a price on horses that we’ve forgotten how to recognize their true value?

🌟 Delta Dawn - Looking for Her Person 🌟

Meet Delta Dawn, a gorgeous, titled 10-year-old Mustang mare 15.1 hands, from the Twin Peaks HMA. She is absolutely beautiful, with movement to match, and has so much potential to offer the right person. ❤️🐴

Delta, halters, leads, picks up all four feet, and fly sprays. She has been sat on a handful of times and currently lives out in a three-strand hot-wire with a mixed herd. She is up to date on vaccines, deworming, and coggins.

Delta Dawn is a sensitive, people-selective mare who needs someone who understands and appreciates the unique nature of mustangs. She isn’t going to be the right horse for everyone, and that’s okay. She needs a patient, knowledgeable person who is willing to take the time to earn her trust, build a partnership, and help her grow at her own pace. With consistency, understanding, and the right guidance, I truly believe she has incredible potential to go far.

Finding Delta Dawn the right home is the priority. I want to see her go to someone who understands her needs, recognizes her potential, and is committed to giving her the time, training, and understanding she deserves. I’m quite partial to her and only selling as my personal time is limited.

Beautiful weather, sweet ponies, brave kiddos, and hearts full of gratitude. ❤️ We couldn’t have asked God for a more beautiful day for our first Pumpkin & Ponies. We are so thankful for every family who came out and helped make it so special.

The ponies were patient, gentle, and brave, and the kids filled the day with so many smiles and happy memories. We pray the memories made today and the friendships formed will last a lifetime, and that these kiddos will look back on this day with joy for years to come. 🎃🐴🍂

Thank you all for being part of such a beautiful and unforgettable day!

🎃🐴 Who’s ready for Pumpkins & Ponies?! 🐴🎃

Tomorrow is our VERY FIRST Pumpkins & Ponies event, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🧡🍂

The fun obstacle course is set up, the snacks are ready, and the drinks are nice and cold! We’re all set for a fun-filled day, and we hope everyone gets a good night’s sleep tonight! 😴✨

We can’t wait to see all our little ones tomorrow and make some sweet fall memories together! 🍁🎃🐴

It’s starting to feel like fall. The air gets colder, the weather a little less forgiving, and the leaves begin to fall from the trees. 🍂

But while the trees let go of their leaves, their roots keep growing deeper. I’ve always heard fall is a great time to plant trees because the focus shifts from looking good on the outside to building a strong foundation underneath.

I think the same applies to horse training and life.

It’s easy to grow when things are going well, but the harder seasons and the more challenging horses are often where the real growth happens. They challenge our beliefs, test our methods, stretch our patience, and force us to become better than we were before.

Not all growth is visible. Sometimes it looks like taking a step back, changing our approach, or admitting we still have more to learn.

So don’t be too quick to curse the difficult horse or the hard season. Those are often the very things helping you grow the deepest roots.

Because when the storms come, it’s not the prettiest leaves that keep a tree standing. It’s the strength of the roots beneath the surface.

🐪 Happy Hump Day! 🐪

Samson’s been working on some new tricks, and he’s catching on pretty quickly! 🧡 He’s learning how to give some good old-fashioned hugs, and I’d say he’s off to a pretty great start. Nothing like a little camel love to make your day! 🤗🐪

🐴 Tuesday’s Tip: JUST HAVE FUN! 🤠

Today’s tip comes from a four-year-old girl and her pony, Bubblegum. 💕 And honestly, she might be onto something!

When I look back on my younger years with horses, some of my favorite memories came from using my imagination. Camping in the backyard, recreating old Western movies, pretending to be Zorro, or trying stunts inspired by The Man from Snowy River. 😂 Some ideas worked better than others, and sometimes my horse wasn’t quite as committed to the adventure as I was!

But you know what? We had FUN!

I wasn’t competing, comparing, or worrying about the latest training trends. I was simply enjoying my horse, using my imagination, and making memories. And along the way, my horses learned to handle all kinds of things, too.

So here’s your Tuesday tip: Don’t get so caught up in doing everything right that you forget why you fell in love with horses in the first place.

Sometimes, you don’t need a plan. You just need a horse, a little imagination, and a whole lot of fun! ❤️🐴
