Hi, my name is Leslie Fontenot and I am the owner of Poochie's in-home Pet Sitting in Eunice and surrounding areas. The reason I became a pet sitter is because of the love and care I have for all pets. Also, my family and I were planning a vacation and we did not know what to do with our pets as there were no pets allowed at the condo where we were going. I have two little ones in my house, Reese, which is a maltese and Roscoe, a yorkie. I have one black lab outside and her name is Dixie. After researching several boarding options, I was very uncomfortable leaving my pets in a kennel as they would not get the one on one care they were used to on a daily basis. I then looked into pet sitting and became very interested in that career. I totally understand how hard it is to leave your pet while away, so I decided to offer a service that would accommodate both the owner and their pets. I offer professional care and treatment for your pets along with professional care of your home. I will collect your mail and newspaper, water plants, take trash to curb, and rotate lights and blinds, if necessary.

You may have seen the funny viral videos of pets getting their heads stuck in bags, but did you know that situation could turn deadly fast?

The dog or cat puts its head inside a bag of chips or another snack, and the bag tightens when the pet inhales. The pet can suffocate to death in under five minutes. How could this situation be avoided?

🐾Make sure that all bags or trash are safely secured out of pets reach especially when leaving them unattended.

🐾Cut or tear all chip and food bags before discarding

🐾Empty snack, cereal, and dry pet foods into resealable hard containers

If you find your pet with their head stuck in a bag, grab the bag before the phone and the outcome will be much different🤍
